Type III U.S. First Bureau Issue, picturing George Washington, paying the 2 cent first-class rate on an advertising cover for M. Oppenheimer & Company in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The cover, which was mailed to Unity, Pennsylvania from Pittsburgh on December 13, 1895, has a large advertisement on the front picturing the building in which Oppenheimer, a clothing maufacturer, was located. The M. Oppenheimer Co. was in business from 1863 until 1925, when it was sold following the death of the owner, Moses Oppenheimer. There is a Unity, PA receiving backstamp dated December 14, 1895. The cover has some wear at the corners and a very small tear at bottom right (see scans).
