There is a handwritten note saying the intended recipient was a passenger on the "S. S. Ship Vestus". There is a Saratoga Springs duplex Flag cancel tying the stamp to the cover. The reverse also contains a New York City Hudson Terminal receiving marke dated April 15th and a Bahia, Brazil receiving mark dated May 20th.
