U.S. Scott 499 and 498, the 1 and 2 cent values picturing George Washington from the Washington-Franklin issues paying the 3 cent first-class rate, on an advertising cover for Robert McCauley, a dealer in Specialty Potatoes in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The cover was mailed from Philadelphia on April 19, 1919 to Atlantic City, New Jersey. The cover also includes the logo for the National League of Commission Merchants of the United States and a patriotic sticker saying "UNITED WE STAND for LIBERTY BUY U. S. GOV'T BONDS" on the front. The cover has some toning, a top to bottom vertical crease on the right, and a couple small pieces of the back flap are missing (see scans).
