U.S. Scott 825 and 812 Prexies/Prexys paying the 3 cent first-class rate, 3 cent return receipt fee, a 20 cent  registration fee on a cover with an indemnity value greater than $25 and less than or equal to $50, and a 1 cent surcharge for an item with the declared value greater than the indemnity value that was paid for by the sender. The letter was mailed February 14, 1944, from APO 134 Barry, Wales to Fort Lee, New Jersey, where it was received on February 31, 1944. The cover also has two U.S. Army censor markings. The cover has some light overall toning and a tear at top left from being roughly opened (see scans).
