One cent U.S. First Bureau Issue, picturing Benjamin Franklin, paying the 1 cent single piece third-class rate on an advertising cover for Waugh M. E. Church in Washington, D. C. The cover, which was mailed to Severn, Maryland is hand dated February 2, 1898, has an advertising corner card on the front picturing the church. There is an undated Washington, D. C., Station B, hanstamp. There is a horizontal crease on the lower portion of the cover not affecting the stamp (see scans).
