U.S. Scott 281, the 5 cent value picturing Ulysses S Grant from the First Bureau Issue paying the 5 cent UPU surface letter rate. The cover was post marked in New York City on June 11, 1902 and received in London on June 23rd. There is all a New York Foreign Branch transit mark on the reverse dated June 11th. The back flap was removed upon opening.
