U.S. Scott 829 and 804 Prexies/Prexys on Scott UC14 registered airmail cover paying the 6 cent air mail rate, 25 cent registration fee on an item with an indemnity value up to $5, and 1 cent supplemental surcharge on an item whose declared value exceeded the paid for indemnity value. The letter was mailed March 31, 1949, from APO 953 at Hickam Field, Territory of Hawaii to Buffalo, New York, where it reached its destination on April 4th. There are also receiving marks dated April 1st (San Francisco) and April 3rd (Buffalo Registry Section).The letter was folded in the middle and has some creases (see scans).
