Cover with U.S. Scott C10, the 10 cent air mail stamp picturing Charles Lindbergh's plane the "Spirit of St. Louis", paying the Air Mail rate between Louisville, Kentucky and Cleveland, Ohio on the CAM 16 route. The cacheted cover was flown from Louisville to Cleveland on August 1, 1928 where it then went via surface transportation to Des Moines, Iowa and then Iowa City. It has a Cleveland August 1st receiving mark and a Des Moines receiving mark dated August 2nd.
