Type III U.S. First Bureau Issue, picturing George Washington, paying the 2 cent first-class rate on an advertising cover for the Boston Wall Paper House of Boston, M<assachusetts. The cover was mailed from Boston to Sullivan, Maine on September 2, 1899 and was then forwarded to Ashville, Maine. The cover also has an early Barry machine cancel. The cover has some wear at the corners and there is some toning (see scan).
