Many potential collectors don't know where to turn to in order to obtain information about the stamp collecting hobby and basic information about how to pursue the hobby. One of the the wonderful things about collecting stamps and/or postal history is that there are more resources available to provide information than there are for virtually any other hobby. The starting collector just needs to know where to look.
